About Your Teacher

My name is Taeryn Robbins and I will be your academic support teacher for ACOA. I have been working with our district homeschooling program for the last 12 years. Prior to this position, I taught math and science in both the Seaside and Astoria School Districts, as well as served as a K-8 Interventionist in Vermont. My teaching career began in the Peace Corps, on a tiny island in the Solomon Islands.

I look forward to getting to know you and your family this school year.   Please always feel free to contact me with questions and/or concerns. I am here to guide you as you learn to navigate our homeschooling curriculum. I will encourage you to stay on track each week, and I hope to push you to challenge yourself as a learner.

Students - Please use messaging within Edmentum's Courseware (6-8) and Calvert (K-5) dashboards as your first avenue for all academic communications with me. I will also send weekly (usually Sunday evening) family email updates. Continue to check and use your school email (students) and personal emails (families) for these weekly communications.

Please reach out with any questions and/or concerns. The best way to contact me is by email at trobbins@astoriak12.org or by calling 503-717-2756. I will get back to you as soon as I can.
