Mandatory Reporter Training

Each year, every Astoria School District employee is required to complete “Mandatory Reporter” training. The training is completed online by staff along with other required training and meets the state law requirements.

Recently in Oregon and throughout the nation, there have been several issues dealing directly with the requirements of mandatory reporters and, at times, the lack of mandatory reporting. To help staff better understand  the requirements of being a mandatory reporter, A live online training was held on February 20, 2025. 

The training was led by representatives from the Clatsop County District Attorney’s Office and the Department of Human Services.
