Volunteers are a vital part of our schools, and your time and energy make a real difference for our students and staff. To help keep our schools safe and meet state law and insurance requirements, all volunteers and contractors, including those working through another organization, must complete the background check.

Fill Out The Background Check
Submit your application through our background check software.
Recommended Online Safety Training
Astoria School District provides the following training available to all volunteers
- Go to the training site: PACE Vector Training
- Click Register and enter one of the Registration Keys below:
- Volunteer: 093efff6 or Contractor: 53ae6612
- Create a username and enter your name
- Click Location and choose Astoria School District
- Complete the training at your convenience
Good to Know
- Background check applications can take up to 2 weeks to process.
- Approved background checks are valid for 2 years.
- There is no cost to you for the background check.
- Your information will remain confidential.
- You will receive an email once you are approved.
