Edmentum Calvert Learning Curriculum (K-5)

About Your Teacher
My name is Emily Schuerger and I will be your academic support teacher for ACOA. I have been working with our district for the last 6 years as a general education teacher in the traditional classroom. Prior to this position, I taught and was an administrator for the Oregon Virtual Academy. In my 25 years of teaching, I have taught grades K-8 virtually and face-to-face, as well as coached multiple different sports for K-12.
I look forward to getting to know you and your family this school year. Please always feel free to contact me with questions and/or concerns. I am here to guide you as you learn to navigate our district online curriculum. I will encourage you to stay on track each week, and I hope to push you to challenge yourself as a learner.
Students - Please use messaging within Edmentum's Courseware dashboards as your first avenue for all academic communications with me. I will also send weekly family email updates. Continue to check and use your school email (students) and personal emails (families) for these weekly communications.

Weekly Check-in meetings are individual/small groups and we will work together to establish our standing weekly appointment time. This is a required meeting.

Individual meetings will be scheduled based on student request and/or teacher recommendation.

Office hours, math help, and writing lab hours will be announced as the school year progresses.
