BUDGET COMMITTEE VACANCY

Astoria School District Board of Directors is actively seeking one applicant to serve on the school district’s Budget Committee. The vacancy is a three-year term which will expire June 30, 2014.

Any interested citizen, who has been a resident of the Astoria School District for at least one year, and is a registered voter, is invited to submit their name to Superintendent Craig Hoppes. An application may be obtained by clicking on the attachment below or at the Astoria School District office, located on the third floor of Gray Elementary School, 785 Alameda Avenue, Astoria. Interviews will be held during the Board Study Session beginning at 6:15 P.M., Wednesday, February 8.

Deadline for applications is 12:00 P.M., February 3, 2012.

2010/2011 State Report Cards

Each year Oregon State law requires that school districts communicate with parents the required state annual report card for Astoria School District and each school within the district. The annual district report card is a brief sampling of the progress Astoria schools are making to improve academic programs within our district. Overall, Astoria has shown improvement in many different areas. This is a tribute to a very dedicated staff, strong parental support and children coming to school ready to learn.
